The Early Career Research Grant program is intended for early career professionals or researchers who are working in educational psychology and who are members of Division 15. The purpose of the award is to provide financial support for an educational psychologist in the early phase of his/her career to support research activities that might not be readily sponsored by one’s institution or other organizations. The grant provides a monetary award up to $7,500.
Applicants can be up to five years beyond the conferral of the doctoral degree at the time of application, and may be working in academic institutions, research and development organizations, or other research venues. Applications will be evaluated by the committee based on the scientific merits of the proposal – theoretical grounding, importance of the research questions, soundness of methodology, and implications for practice in the area of educational psychology. The Research Grant Award recipient(s) (up to two awards annually) will be announced by the President at Executive Meeting and again at the Business meeting of the annual meeting in August.
